Pavenčiai Secondary School is situated in
Kuršėnai. The school was established on 2nd September 1974. At first it was
called The Third Secondary School of Kuršėnai (this is how older people are
used to call it) but in 1993 it was renamed Pavenčiai Secondary School.
Pavenčiai Secondary School is one of the
largest educational institutions of such kind in our living area. There are
approximately 1200 pupils (aged 5-18) and 100 teachers.
There are lots of different events and festivals organized at
our school every year. A lot of our pupils are winners of regional and
national competitions. Several years ago some pupils established
the club “Reveal Yourself”, they are constantly being involved into numerous
activities
and
events.
We usually take part in various international projects and programmes such
as Comenius, Socrates and others.
