You can
call me Wim (Willem) van Schaik and my wife's name is Dorothee
Drabert.
She is German and she works as a teacher of English and history at a
gymnasium in Emmerich (Germany).
Therefore I allow her to take our best car over the border every day.
We have a son - Marc - who was born on January 10th 1984. We all three
live
in Zevenaar (about 26.000 inhabitants) , about 10 miles from the German
border.
Since 1974 I have been working as a teacher;First in my hometown Utrecht
(the most beautiful city of The Netherlands), after that in Arnhem (a
bridge
too far, also for me) and from 1998 in Zevenaar.
My hobbies, which cost (too ?) much time, are: badminton, collecting (and
sharing) film-music, reading thrillers and downloading/watching movies
from
the newsgroups on the internet.
I am a (part-time) teacher of German, which I like, but I have nothing
against long vacations.
By the way, from October 14th 2006 I am 56 years.
I am sure, that we will have a creative and pleasant time together for
this
last schoolyear in this Comenius project.
We are looking forward to our final meeting in Litauen in the week from
21-25 may 2006.

Hello friends,
My name is Hans ter Maat I am a teacher, in mathematics and electro-technics,
for almost 5 years. For a period of 20 year I worked as a technician,
service manager and later as a salesman in the broadcast video aria.
History (Egyptology and Greek) and making furniture are my hobbies.
In 2004 we bought a holiday house in Greece (CHIOS).
Everything, the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms etc. is build by myself and
I like this job very much.
Teaching young people is very difficult but it gives a lot of
satisfaction in the end. To change my job at the age 45 to become a
teacher has proven to be a very good choice.
I’m married with José for 23 years and have 2 girls, 18 and 21.
To meet new people and their country is not only pleasant but for me it
is the same as learning and getting new ideas.
